Optomap Retinal Exam
The Optomap Retinal Exam is a patient friendly, quick and comfortable non-dilated exam that captures and analyzes an image of virtually the entire retina in a quarter of a second. It is estimated 29 million Americans have diabetes, yet many are unaware they have the disease. Many times diabetic retinopathy, or diabetes in the back of the eye, is one of the first signs of diabetes. In addition, the retinal exam looks for hypertension, thyroid issues, macular degeneration, and many neurologic issues.
