Contact Lenses
Contact lenses have become a very popular way for people to correct their vision. Our office has patients as young as four years of age to eighty four years of age wearing contact lenses. We fit patients in soft contact lenses, gas permeable contact lenses, bifocal contact lenses, astigmatism contact lenses, contact lenses that are thrown away every day to contacts that are worn continuously for one year.
Dr. Plank's training includes two years at Dean A. McGee treating all different kinds of diseased and damaged eyes, including patients with Keratoconus, patients with rapidly advancing myopia (myopia control), and patients with scarred corneas. With advances in materials and designs, we are able to fit the majority of eyes in contact lenses. The major contact lens companies continue to improve lens materials and designs, allowing us to fit more patients than ever before, and there are still several smaller companies that make a specialized products. If you have tried contact lenses over five years ago with very little success you may want to consider contact lenses again.
